Phoenix, AZ — One of the Valley’s newest home builders is making a $25,000 donation to the American Red Cross to aid the Tsunami victims, plus it is encouraging its employees to donate by matching — dollar for dollar — up to $5,000 more. “Being in the shelter business, the tragedy of the Tsunami has had a powerful emotional impact on the principals of Element Homes,” said LeRoy Hanneman, CEO, of Element Homes. “We are compelled to do something, hoping others in the home building industry will step up and do the right thing,” said Scott Peterson, President of ElementHomes and Chairman of the Homebuilders Association of Central Arizona.

Donations to the American Red Cross International Response Fund will provide tsunami survivors with nutritious food, basic supplies such as tents and hygiene items, basic healthcare and support they need to cope of the trauma they’ve experienced.

The donation is beyond what Element Homes had planned for charitable giving for the year, but the scale of devastation in South-East Asia is so enormous, the company felt it must make the commitment.

Element Homes is headquartered in Phoenix and builds homes and communities around the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.
